Fantastic hotel...
We stayed 4 nights at the Duke of Cornwall while visiting family over in Plymouth, UK. The hotel was great as was the food and service.
The staff were very helpful and went out of their way to help us plan our trip. The rooms were luxurious, clean and very light. The train station is a bit of a walk (15 minutes) but easy enough to get to Exeter once there.
The Barbican which is the old part of Plymouth is roughly (10 minutes away) and shows of a cultural side to a city near the sea. Overall we had a fantastic time and enjoyed our stay at this beautiful Plymouth hotel.

Great hotel, good food, value and service...
We stayed two nights at the Duke of Cornwall last week. The staff could not have been nicer and we had a fantastic breakfast. The room we stayed in was nicely furnished, had a comfy bed, and came with a nice en suite. Definitely one of the better value for money hotels in Plymouth. We would stay again if given the chance.

Fantastic location, old world style but modern approach...
Had a fantastic room, large bathroom and good facilities. service was as usual, very friendly. Nightporters were very accommodating and were happy to open up the bar to serve us drinks when we came back late.
Would definately stay again!

A good stay at the Duke Of Cornwall...
I was not sure what to expect when coming to Plymouth but this hotel is very good. The staff, rooms and food were nice and I enjoyed seeing Plymouth for the first time. I would very much like to come back with my family when not on business.

Old fashioned charm with modern high standards...
Our plan was a girls weekend away in the sunshine so the choice of hotel was not top priority (we would only be sleeping there). Imagine our surprise when we set foot on the red carpet leading into the impressive Ground Floor of the Duke of Cornwall. By far the prettiest building from the outside in the area, the interior too was quite something, from the comfortable and modern individual rooms to the luxurious leather seats in the bar. It had the elegance of the Victorian era with the all the mod cons required for the 21st Century.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. (And not too early!) I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Plush hotel, very grand and good food...
Stayed as part of my UK cycle tour, Check in was really friendly, helpful and efficient with my bike being stored quickly and effectively.
Hotel is very nice looking, quite grand in its appearance with very good looking communal areas, my room was fairly small but I only needed a single so no issue. Very clean however with a good shower, LCD TV and some fairly grand finishings. So even though it was smaller it was still very well done.
My room position was towards the back and side of the hotel so I didn't get the grand views but it did help that it was also very quiet, so a very good nights sleep.
Breakfast was brilliant, probably the best I had through the entire UK tour. Selection was very good as was the quality and presentation. With it being a cycling tour I generally ate an awful lot at breakfast and I am very fussy with my nutritional requirements to help fuel me for the day. Glad to say that every requirement was met here and it was done extremely well, continental, buffet and cooked food was all exceptional.
